Who we are
Guest Foundry is the controller of the personal information described in this policy when it is processed for Guest Foundry's activities.
Information we collect
We may receive information you send to us directly, including your name, email address, podcast or publication, website, message and booking details.
We may also collect professional information about podcast hosts, producers and other media professionals from publicly available business sources, podcast directories, company websites, professional profiles and business data services. This may include names, roles, business contact details, podcast information and publicly available professional interests.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the matter you are contacting us about.
How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess potential podcast and media opportunities, make relevant business-to-business introductions, coordinate interviews, manage bookings and maintain our professional relationships with hosts, producers and represented guests.
Where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating Guest Foundry, carrying out targeted professional outreach and arranging relevant media opportunities. Where you ask us to arrange or discuss an interview, we may also process information as necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an arrangement.
We do not sell personal information or use professional contact data for unrelated consumer marketing.
Outreach and research
Guest Foundry researches podcasts and media opportunities so that we can contact hosts and producers where we believe a represented guest may be genuinely relevant to their audience or editorial focus.
If we contact you in a professional capacity and you do not want further outreach from us, reply to the message or contact us at bookings@guestfoundry.com. We will record that preference so that we can avoid contacting you again for the same type of outreach.
Booking services
Our booking pages may link to or embed Cal.com. Information you provide through Cal.com is handled by that service under its own privacy policy. We may receive the booking information needed to arrange and administer an interview or introductory call.
Service providers
We may use service providers to operate Guest Foundry, including website hosting, email, calendar and scheduling services, podcast and business research tools, and data storage or workflow systems. These providers may process personal information on our behalf or, in some cases, as independent controllers under their own terms.
We share only the information reasonably needed for those services or for arranging the relevant media opportunity.
Website data
This static website does not currently set advertising cookies, run analytics scripts or use session recording. The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs to deliver, secure and maintain the website.
If we later add analytics, advertising technology or other non-essential tracking, this policy and any required consent mechanism will be updated before that technology is used.
Retention and your rights
We keep enquiry, booking and professional relationship information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including maintaining records of prior conversations, bookings and contact preferences, and meeting legal or administrative obligations.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office about how your personal information is handled.
International transfers
Some of the service providers we use may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where data protection law requires safeguards for those transfers, we rely on the safeguards made available by the relevant provider or otherwise required by applicable law.
